How To Clean

wearabowl®’s waterproof fabric wipes clean easily and is machine washable — always ready for the next snack along the way.

Hand wash:

Rinse in the sink with a drop of mild detergent, wipe clean, then air dry or tumble dry low.

Wash as needed. Do not use bleach or non-chlorine bleach additives. Air dry or tumble dry low.

On-the-go:

What is the pincer grasp?

The pincer grasp is a key developmental milestone that typically emerges around 9–12 months, when babies begin using their thumb and index finger to pick up small objects.

It’s one of the first signs that a child is learning to feed themselves — building coordination, control, and confidence along the way.

Can I put fruit & berries in wearabowl®?

Yes 🫐 wearabowl® is great for both wet and dry snacks such as berries, cheese, puffs and melts.

It is made with PUL (laminated polyester), which is a durable, waterproof, non-toxic, vegan, and food-safe material commonly used for bibs—free from lead, heavy metals, BPA, phthalates and PVC.

Will the strap fit around my child's leg?

Yes — the wearabowl® strap is designed to fit comfortably and securely around a toddler’s thigh, typically from 9 months to 2 years.

It measures 11.5” (29.5 cm) with about 2.5” (6.5 cm) of adjustability, allowing for a flexible fit. The soft, breathable material (polyester and spandex) sits comfortably on the leg and fastens easily with a hook-and-loop closure.

Does it come with a spill-proof lid?

No — and that’s intentional.

wearabowl® is designed around how toddlers eat at the pincer grasp stage. How snacks are presented really matters. When food is easy to see and reach, toddlers can practice this skill more naturally and independently.

A spill-proof lid would create an obstacle to this goal.

What if my child kicks or moves their leg — will the snacks spill?

In most cases, movement or leg kicks won’t cause snacks to spill out when properly worn.

It works best when:

  • They are seated upright and securely fastened
  • The bowl is not overly filled
  • It is positioned on their mid-thigh
