An independent toddler with a problem
My husband was out for an adventurous day at the LA Zoo with our year-old daughter. She had recently mastered her pincer grasp and was eager to feed herself her own snacks on stroller rides. En route to the elephants, he offered her some Cheerios® to snack on while in her jogging stroller. But he soon realized that she was having difficulty enjoying her snack. No matter where he put the bowl, she would accidentally knock it over or drop it on the ground. Or, if he wedged it in a place where it would not easily fall, it was too difficult for her to reach.
